On the 10th of februari 1960 Robert Alastair Addie was born.
He was adopted by Marjorie and Jack Williams, who was an highly regarded British Polo player and Robert grew op in a busy stable yard in Gloucestershire, England in the United Kingdom.
He became a great horseman and even a professional polo player and horse trainer for a while and was also a very skilled swordsman and archer.
When he was sixteen he left the Marlborough College to join the National Youth Theater where he left for R.A.D.A (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art) in 1978.
There he left in 1980 to star as Mordred in the movie Excalibur, by John Boorman.
One of the most famous parts he played must be as Sir Guy of Gisburne in Richard Carpenter's Robin Of Sherwood. The series was shown in a lot of countries and still has a large fanbase and yearly conventions in which Robert also took part in the past.
In 1989 Robert needed a break from acting but made a excellent comeback in 1995 in the theater aswell as on tv and the big screen.
He became active as a theater writer too and in later years as a director.
Robert Addie was married and divorced three times and had three children.
On November 20th 2003 he lost a short battle against lungcancer. He was only 43 years old.
